NEW ORLEANS - Results of a cost analysis that compared multiple myeloma treatments found that treatment with bortezomib (Velcade) was associated with less out-of-pocket expenses than was treatment with the oral medications lenolidomide (Revlimid) and thalidomide (Thalomid).
"Multiple myeloma is a complex disease that places a significant burden on patients or their caregivers," said Brett Pinsky, MPH, a senior researcher at i3 Innovus, Eden Prairie, Minn., in a poster presentation at the American Society of Hematology meeting.........."
